We are strengthening our Manufacturing Engineering team in the area of Electronics and ADAS at our location in Peterlee.

Your tasks:

Working in a cross functional manufacturing engineering team, leading projects by managing your own and others time and supporting production and maintenance when and where required
Selection & implementation of new equipment and processes sourced in the UK and internationally
Ownership of various types of equipment and processes, providing continuous monitoring and improvements where necessary
Working in a fast paced, high demanding environment working with other teams internally and externally in new product design and launch
Scrap reductions, quality improvements and increases in OEE using problem solving techniques and LEAN methodology/six sigma

Your profile:

Minimum of HNC/HND standard in engineering or equivalent, degree level desired
Experience in 2D and 3D vision/measurement systems, Laser welding/marking, Servo pressing, Leak testing and Torque controlled screw driving. PLC programming experience desired
Knowledge in D/PFMEA, Lean/Six Sigma and problem solving/analytical
Good communication, time management and planning as well as negotiation skills
Proficient in communicating in English
