WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING?

As a talented, enthusiastic and self-motivated Product Designer, you will work closely with our Product Managers, Product Owners and Engineers, to deeply understand customer needs, wireframe and prototype solutions, and create compelling high-fidelity designs.

Day to day, you will balance producing designs for products and features with thinking about how design works across the business, putting into place the best frameworks for consistency and quality. You will work with teams across the business, conducting research that gets us closer to what users want from our products and designing complex interactions into simple and enjoyable experiences.

With a rapidly growing team, plans for international expansion, multi-million pound funding in place, hugely exciting commercial opportunities landing daily, and a team of competent and hard working engineers ready to go, you will be joining the organisation at an extremely exciting moment in its history.

Working closely with Product Managers and Engineers, in your role as a YourParkingSpace Product Designer, you will be responsible for:

  • Helping Product Managers define their product vision, initiatives and roadmap
  • Bringing proven methods for integrating user experience design
  • Evolving concepts to the relevant level of fidelity, from prototypes, to final mock-ups
  • Creating style guides and graphical assets for use by our engineering teams
  • Engage in research sessions and act on insights from data to further develop our products
  • Carry out heuristic analysis and optimise current designs through hypothesis-based AB testing
  • Present work in design review sessions or demos
  • Advocate for quality and accessibility
  • Build and maintain cross-functional relationships and foster collaboration
  • Occasionally design marketing collateral and materials, both digital and print

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • At least 2 years’ experience experience with designing world-class products (across UX and UI) that haven’t just achieved business results, but created real value for customers
  • Competence with Sketch (or Figma) and other common design tools
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence others and advocate for design at all levels
  • Good product thinking and a human-centred design approach
  • Ability to create interactive prototypes, showing knowledge of composition, colour and interaction design principles
  • Good time-management skills
  • Familiarity with Agile is a plus
  • Hands-on experience managing all stages of the product design lifecycle
  • Ideally have experience working in a product first tech environment, with a basic technical background and knowledge of software development and web technologies
  • Team spirit and good communication abilities
  • Excellent organisational skills
