Position Overview & Specifications
Woodlark Nurseries Ltd is a ten-acre site situated in Hersham, Surrey.
Glasshouses occupy approximately two acres and polythene tunnels another five acres, with outdoor cropping areas, where we grow Chrysanthemums and Hebes, as well as Daffodils.

Horticultural Worker duties
- Reporting to the Nursery Supervisor, you grow and harvest flowers and plants.
- Day-to-day tasks may vary depending on the time of year but will always include tasks such as taking care of plants - watering, weeding, pruning, spraying, picking, sorting and loading plants for delivery.
- Picking, packing and cleaning of orders, will include helping to pick out the orders and clean/pack the orders.
- Moving plants and equipment around the nursery, cleaning/greenhouse maintenance and unloading and loading deliveries.
- Working in varying weather conditions, you are required to bend, pull, push, stoop and stand for long periods of time.
- Prepare beds, transfer plants to containers, move container plants around the nursery, and unload shipments of packaged soil and other gardening products.
- Transplant plants, flowers and shrubs into individual containers to prepare them for selling.
- Excellent presentation skills and attention to detail.
No previous experience is needed, however; you must be hardworking, reliable and ready to learn new skills.
Part time hours during our busy period are Monday - Friday in the afternoon and Sunday morning from April to June.
Own transport advantageous due to location.
