An exciting new opportunity has just become available to work for a specialist insurance broker.

We are working with a client who are a family run business that specialise in church insurance, charity insurance, commercial insurance and insurance for high value homeowners.

We have two opportunities available. One is based at the clients Cams Hall (in Fareham), office and the other is based at their Stonebridge House office in Meriden.

As an Apprentice Account Handler you will provide an effective administration service with progression towards becoming a fully trained Commercial Account Handler.

Full training will be provided to help you become a well rounded insurance professional and build a successful career.

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow a training plan with practical 'on the job' training
  • Gain working knowledge about relevant insurance products
  • Provide administration support to colleagues in all aspects of insurance, working with attention to detail
  • Ensure accuracy, efficiency and professionalism when dealing with both client and insurer in all aspects of the role: New business, Renewals, Quotations, Mid Term Adjustments, Claims, Queries, Premium Financing arrangements, cover note insurance, policy documentation preparation and insurance
  • Ensure all business activity fully complies with FCA regulation and company procedures as detailed in the compliance manual - use checklists and support documentation as provided by the company to assist with demonstrating compliance
  • Handle any complaints in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements
  • Conduct learning, training and assessment exercises in accordance with the individual T&C scheme applicable to you. Identify further areas for development as required
  • Achieve and maintain a high level of customer service and promote exceptional customer care standards at all times
  • Develop and maintain a professional working relationship with all clients and ensure expert advice in all areas of business.

As an apprentice you will combine work and study as you work towards completing your Level 3 Insurance Practioner apprenticeship as well as achieve your Certificate in Insurance (a highly regarded qualification within the insurance sector).
