What’s the role all about?

William Hare Limited is looking for Metal Fabrication Apprentices to complete a Level 3 qualification and join our team at the Risca Facility.

This is a 4-year apprenticeship in fabrication and welding.

A fabricator will produce work made from thick metal plates and structural steel sections, such as columns and beams, using a wide range of tools and equipment. This will contribute to projects for large-scale buildings such as the Nuclear Power plant at Hinckley Point C - which is currently the largest construction site in Europe.

Positions Available: 3

Day-to-day duties will include:

Read and interpret engineering drawings
Assemble components by welding them together
Ensure finished welds are of a good standard and the required size
Use a variety of tools, welding equipment, and overhead traveling cranes
Implementation and adhering to all health and safety policies and completing all paperwork relating to health and safety

Working Week

Monday – Thursday (7:30 am – 16:00 pm)

Friday (7:30 am – 1:30 pm)

Candidates who are over 18 may be eligible to work condensed hours.

From £7.59 to £10.42, depending on age.

Desired Qualifications

Applicants need to have a minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade A-C. This should include Maths and English. We welcome applications from people who are currently completing or have completed level 2 in fabrication and welding.
