Position Overview & Specifications
Our client is seeking a motivated Property Solicitor to join its leading real estate practice based in Kent. The successful candidate will be a newly qualified solicitor (NQ+) who is eager to work in residential and commercial property and will be able to demonstrate a strong track record of success in this area.
Responsibilities
-Managing a caseload of transactions to completion
-Drafting contracts for purchase and sale agreements and portfolio contracts.
-Dealing with pre-emption rights, complex land registry applications and unregistered titles.
-Working on and assisting with business projects as required.
-Liaising with internal clients and stakeholders, leaseholders, solicitors, local authorities and other third parties.
-Delivering timely and concise commercial advice to the business of a consistently high standard.
-Performing legal due diligence on matters such as the interpretation of leases, deeds and other property title documents.
Requirements
-Newly qualified solicitor with previous experience in residential conveyancing and non-contentious property work
-High degree of integrity and reliability.
-Meet deadlines and advise/negotiate effectively.
-Ability to draft various clauses and documents with the ability to appreciate the implications.
-A solid understanding of conveyancing procedures and relevant property law and the ability to understand and explain legal technicalities and processes.
