Graphic Designer job description

We're looking for a talented Graphic Designer who can play a key role in creating outstanding multi-platform work for our clients.

You’ll work with and lead client and internal teams in the development and execution of client projects. Our ideal candidate will be equally happy working across digital and print design projects as part of a creative team.

The role

The role would suit someone who has three years’+ agency experience in a client-facing role and has a proactive approach to their work.

You’ll have the versatility to take a lead design role in content marketing, internal comms and branding projects. You could be working on a print magazine one day then developing a brand look the next.

You’ll also have the confidence and organisational skills to communicate directly with our much-valued clients, with the support of our experienced creative team.

The job will also involve working on our own content marketing project, World Whisky Day.

Salary up to £30,000 depending on experience.

Your responsibilities

  • Content creation: Planning and executing creative solutions to client briefs
  • Client relations: Taking a lead design role on client projects. Communicating with clients, confidently explaining your approach to your design work
  • Collaboration: Working with our copywriters as part of a tight team. Managing suppliers and directing collaborative partners
  • Time management: Making sure you are balancing your workload effectively, staying on budget and to schedule

Skill and experience requirements

  • A good knowledge of Adobe CC programs: Key InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator
  • Editorial design and layout skills
  • Print production knowledge
  • A good understanding of website and email design
  • Client management skills
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • The ability to manage your own time and projects

Advantageous skill and experience

  • Basic video production
  • Basic knowledge of html
  • Using content management systems to upload website content
  • Creating content for social media

How we work

This is a full-time role based in Edinburgh. We have a blended working policy, which aims to retain the best parts of remote working while fostering the social and creative interaction of working together in the studio.

Employees will have the option to work three days from our studio in Edinburgh and two days from home. We have a flexible working environment where the team can adjust their day to cater for personal appointments where possible.

Our working hours are 9-5.30 Monday to Friday.
