Children’s Nurse Assessor

Venn Group is currently working with a large NHS Governing body who are looking for a Children’s Nurse Assessor. Below is a brief synopsis on the role.

Duration: 3 Months Initially

Location: Remote

Rate: £330 - £380 Umbrella (depending on experience)

Hours: 37.5 per week

IR35 Status: Inside

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Work with the individual and their family to identify care needs and support in care planning for patients with a Personal Health Budget (PHB)
• Undertake specialist nursing assessments for children with complex needs in relation to care packages, respite care and placement for Continuing Care with regards to specialist children's continuing care issues
• Support in the development of a range of care packages for children with complex health needs including palliative care services
• As a Nurse Assessor, you will be responsible for completing assessments and reviews of continuing care packages ensuring children and young people are receiving high quality, safe and effective care and providing expert advice to other professionals
• Providing excellent quality DSTs for submission

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience working with children care team, panels and conducting reviews
• Experience in completing CHC assessments and DST
• RCN qualified
• Experience using patient systems (e.g. Broadcare, Caretrack)
• Ability to work in a team
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
