Position Overview & Specifications
We are looking to hire an area manager covering the cleaning side of our services across London, with flexible working hours. We currently envisage the working hours being 0800-1500 Monday to Friday, with one Saturday per month, but this is open to negotiation around a schedule that works for you.
This role would require some travel between jobs but would mainly be based at our head office close to Clapham Junction.
This role would involve the following:
- Staff management: Advertising our vacancies, interviewing and onboarding new staff, with KPIs for number of net hires made.
- Supplying and managing the teams in the mornings.
- Managing the staff rota.
- Carrying out performance reviews and meetings with the teams.
- Investigating client complaints.
- Carry out site visits and estimates.
- Developing new hires, including training and supervision.
- Monitoring stock levels and usage, ordering new equipment.
- Fleet management: booking in repairs, MOTs and scheduled servicing.
- May occasionally have to stand in for team leaders by working in the sites; however this would only be in an emergency.
You will be well supported by our management team, and we will invest in your personal development as your progress within the company. An ideal candidate would have:
- The ability to speak both Spanish and English fluently.
- Strong cleaning experience, especially in end of tenancy, post works cleans, or hotel housekeeping.
- Customer service experience, especially when dealing with complaints.
- Previous leadership experience, either in a cleaning or similar role.
- Be used to hiring staff and developing new hires.
- Have a full UK driving licence.
Salary is dependent on hours and experience. This is a brilliant opportunity in a growing company, for someone looking to move into a managerial position in the future.
Thank you.
