Head of Secondary Education

The Institute of Education is seeking to appoint a principal lecturer with experience of leading in Initial Teacher Education.

You should have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS UK) and will have had successful experience of teaching and leading in higher education. You will need an excellent understanding and experience of Secondary Education in the UK.

You will possess a good Honours Degree (UK, or IK equivalence) or equivalent experience, a Masters’ qualification or equivalent experience or be keen to work towards a postgraduate qualification. You must also possess excellent leadership skills to lead and manage a dynamic and lively team. You should demonstrate that you are an excellent communicator and have an exemplary track record within teaching. As a member of the IOE senior leadership team, you will be committed to enhancing the student experience and contributing to the performance and development of the wider Institute of Education.
