We are currently recruiting for a Temporary Assistant Accountant for a centrally based Oxford University Department, starting asap on a full-time basis.

Duties:

• Ensure that the financial transactions of the department are recorded in an accurate and timely manner
• Manage the patent recharges to licensees on a regular basis in preparation for the month end reconciliation between the income and expenditure accounts
• Prepare Membership Invoices
• Review aged purchase orders logged on the system and investigate so they can be cleared
• Reconcile Supplier statements
• Payment run for suppliers and expense claims
• Management of deferred payments
• Responding to academic and client queries on invoicing and payments
• Run queries and reports from the database and be fully conversant with this
• Prepare the OUC quarterly, half yearly and yearly statistics reporting, running reports and maintaining spreadsheets
