Position Overview & Specifications

UE05: £24,285.00 – £27,929.00 Per Annum.

CMVS / SMPHS / HGU.

Fixed-Term Contract - 3 Years - April 1 st 2023 – March 31 st 2026; Full Time - 35 Hours Per Week.

We are looking for a highly motivated research technician to support a team of scientists working on genome editing and targeted protein degradation in human disease models.

The Opportunity:

The successful candidate will join an established team of postdoctoral scientists and graduate students, contributing to research projects and laboratory management. The role would be ideal for a recent graduate looking to gain experience with cutting edge techniques in molecular genetics and chemical biology. The laboratory is part of the MRC Human Genetics Unit and the MRC National Mouse Genetics network, providing an outstanding training environment.

Your skills and attributes for success:

Interest in genetic technologies and strong motivation to learn
Experience with techniques in molecular biology, mammalian cell culture and/or animal models of disease
Excellent organisational skills and record keeping
