In-House Area Security Officer

A great opportunity has become available within the Unipart Logistics Security Department for an Area Security Officer to join our award winning in-house teams in South / West Yorkshire and Derbyshire.

Successful applicants will receive a permanent 48-hour contract working a combination of days, nights & weekends (Unipart Security do not employ on zero hour contracts).

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Provide a courteous, professional and welcoming atmosphere for all clients, their representatives and visitors to the company.
• Provide security for 'People, Product & Property' at all times.
• To remain alert at all times and give consistent attention to all details of site security
• To carry out regular visual and sensory patrols of internal and external areas and report all concerns.
• To carry out effective screening & searching routines
• Monitor access to the premises and visitors via CCTV
• Meeting the requirements of all company policies and practices
• Effective recording of information / incidents from within the building / premises
• Carrying out procedures to ensure effective service delivery
• Gatehouse duties
• To work with the Security Manager to identify problems and achieve resolution.
• To ensure a smooth and full handover of daily events to the security team
• To utilise the patrol system to aid patrols for the security team
• To utilise the electronic access control system effectively, to allow traffic control

Essential requirements for this role are:

• A valid SIA license
• A full Driving licence and access to a vehicle (as you’ll be required to travel to/from different sites)
• A 5-year checkable history
