Personal assistant needed during school holidays (Easter/May half term/summer etc) to for one to one support for a 12 year old boy with ADHD and some learning disabilities (no personal care needed) . Days/hours per day are very flexible

W is 12 but functions in many ways like a 7-8 year old. He has ADHD which he takes medication for, and is a very active, energetic boy. He loves being with people and is very chatty and friendly and can be very funny. He loves nature and all things outdoors, but also enjoys activities such as going to trampoline parks, bowling, going to the cinema etc. We’d ideally like someone who can take him on various outings but who also would be happy to eg play board games or play lego with him at home which he enjoys.

We’d ideally like someone who has some understanding and/or previous experience of working with neurodiverse children and who also drives and has a car. However, the main thing is that you gel with him and vice versa. It would also be good if you like dogs – we have a very friendly lab retriever who is very much a family member.

Basic rate is £10.50 plus holiday pay. The annual FTE is £21, 840
