Position Overview & Specifications
We have currently a vacancy for the position to handle administrative and coordination duties within a 3rd Party Logistic Company.
Your duties will entail working and interacting with customers and suppliers.
Organising transport/shipment, via Ocean, Air & road. You will need to understand Procedural requirements and handle both imports and exports documentation, as well as deal with HMRC import declarations and use the current NES system.
The Role
We would also expect you to be able:
- Obtain various quotes from other shipping companies and calculate freight costs
- Book freight either for air, sea, or road
- Organise collection and delivery of freight
- Prepare documents for transport including Customs Entries
- Understand safety issues, especially with air cargo consignments
- Multitask, prioritise tasks, and organise your daily tasks
- Liaise with Customers and provide updates and tracking
The Person
Essential Criteria:
- Should have Administration experience preferably in logistics and/or a customer account handling service in Logistics
- Experience in working closely with Operational Teams for service delivery;
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Ability to develop good working relationships with customers and colleagues
- Must have good Experience in communicating at different levels across an organisation and the ability to adapt tone and style to suit the audience
- The ability to detail and manage competing priorities with precision and accuracy
- Professionally written & Verbal communication style
- Experience in Shipping and Logistics

Salary and Hours
Salary: £20,000 - £24,000 per annum, dependent on experience
Hours: Monday - Friday, 09:00-17:30
Location: NW10 6QN
