Seasonal Retail Assistant

Trump Turnberry is ready to receive applications from exceptional, talented individuals looking to join our legendary team.

This is a seasonal position to support our team from March to October.

POSITION PURPOSE
The Retail Assistant is responsible for assisting the Head Professional and Assistant Golf Professionals with the efficient and profitable handling of the Pro Shop. The Retail Assistant carries out established policies and procedures in the Pro Shop, sells merchandise, books tee times and related golf activities. The Retail Assistant reports to the Golf Operations Manager.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• 
  Assists with bar coding products in the shop.
• Books and confirms tee times in Concept.
• Answers telephone enquiries.
• Keeps shop clean and merchandise neatly arranged and displayed.
• Greets all golfers in the shop and takes payment for green fees, buggies, club hire and trolley hire.
• Assists with tournament administration, as required.
• Informs all guests of course regulations.
• Sells golf shop merchandise.

• Considerable knowledge of recreational operations and maintenance work. Knowledge of the principles and practices of personnel and business management.
• Thorough knowledge of the methods used in the care and maintenance of golf courses.
• Thorough knowledge of the care and maintenance of grass greens.
• Thorough knowledge of the uses and operating methods of equipment and tools used in golf course maintenance.
