Picker / Packer

Join a small and growing team that exports consumable products around the world, we are looking for a part-time warehouse picker/packer to join our team (Thursday & Fridays). We offer minimum wage during probationary period, this will be reviewed with development and pay increase prospects. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately picking and packing orders for shipment. This is a physically demanding position that requires attention to detail and the ability to work quickly and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately pick and pack customer orders according to company procedures
• Unloading deliveries and replenishing inventory locations
• Regular stock takes
• Use handheld scanners to track inventory and maintain accurate stock levels
• Label and package products according to shipping standards
• Ensure that all products are handled and stored safely
• Keep work area clean and organized
• Report any damaged or missing products to the supervisor
• Meet daily productivity and quality goals
• General warehouse duties

The ideal candidate should have the following skills and experience:

• Previous experience in a warehouse environment preferred but not required as full training will be provided
• Must have a positive attitude and be extremely reliable
• Ability to lift large / heavy boxes and stand for extended periods of time
• Attention to detail and ability to work quickly and accurately
• Must be forward thinking and plan ahead to complete tasks in advance
• Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team
• Flexibility to work 2 or 3 days per week (Wednesday - Friday), including weekends if necessary
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country where the job is located
• Ability to work under pressure, and to deadlines
• Punctual with excellent timekeeping and attendance
