We’re now in our seventh year of trading, and with our growth levels accelerating at an incredible rate, we are looking for Senior Content Writer to join our sensational team!

The Role

As Senior Content Writer, you will be responsible for all aspects of commercial content creation and will manage a small team of content writers and freelancers. We are ‘customer-first’ in our thinking, and you must be too!

Reporting directly to our Editor-in-Chief, you will be the go-to in the business for customer content. You will have worked within a client-copy B2B environment previously, be confident with reaching out to and interviewing customers, and have some management experience.

Responsibilities

  • Working with customers to produce informative and engaging commercial content which resonates with our core audience.
  • Interviewing clients and industry experts to generate creative ideas for articles.
  • Working across all technology titles which include customers who are global technology vendors spanning Unified Communications, Collaboration, Customer Experience and Extended Reality. (Initially, you will work across all the technology sectors, but in time you may wish to specialise.)
  • Managing the content team efficiently, including freelance and internal staff.
  • Mentoring and supporting team members to achieve their potential.
  • Overseeing all commercial content produced by the business.
  • Proofreading your team’s articles for accuracy, consistency, style and overall quality.
  • Applying SEO practices to optimise content.
  • Hosting and crafting video discussions.
  • Working closely with the Marketing team.

Skills, Experience & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Creative Writing, English or a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a journalist, content writer, copywriter, technical writer, content editor, technology journalist or editor.
  • At least 5 years of experience producing commercial/ sponsored content.
  • Ability to interrogate customer briefs to achieve desired outcome.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and accurately fact-check information.
  • Excellent observation and judgment skills.
  • Superb communication and networking skills, along with an aptitude to effectively extract information.
  • You’re an all-round team player, friendly and able to work in a dynamic, fast-growing business environment.
  • Able to be flexible with your working hours.

Proficient in

  • Microsoft 365 e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams
  • WordPress CMS
  • Monday.com project management software, or similar
  • Image editing software e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar
