Role: Production Packaging Operative

Working Hours: Monday – Friday: 6:00am – 3:00pm. Overtime if required. You will have a total of 1-hour break; 2 x 30-minute breaks unpaid.

We are a busy fast-growing poultry manufacturing company that requires Production Packaging Operatives to join the team. We require someone who is reliable, hardworking, has excellent communications skills, good attention to detail and has a general understanding of Food Safety.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Consists of hands-on operation of handling and processing poultry.
• Working in a controlled cold temperature environment.
• Working with a metal detector and following procedures.
• Building frozen kebab stacks.
• Checking the quality of the finished product.
• Packing various chicken products into appropriate packaging.
• Moving goods to storage area.
• Product recognition and training will be given.
• All PPE will be provided.

Requirements:

• Basic food experience: training can be provided.
• Packing experience.
• Flexibility if overtime is required.

Essential:

• Basic English written & verbal communication skills required.
• Willingness to adapt to new working practices & processes.
• Reliable & punctual.
• Must have good levels of numeracy & literacy.
• Excellent attention to detail & time management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, organise and prioritise responsibilities.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £10.42 per hour
