Chef (School Residential Trip) to France

Join us in the beautiful south of France at our outdoor activity adventure camp. Be part of our team and help us to expand our students’ horizons and transform their self-esteem.

We are delighted to be making an appointment for a Chef for the duration of our annual, eight- week outdoor Residential Trip to Vallon, France. The trip commences on the 3 June 2023 until 22 July 2022 (exact dates to be confirmed) As the main designated Chef on camp you will prepare an exciting, nutritious and cost-effective meal each evening, ideally with a French theme, for approximately 60 people. Breakfast and lunch are basic and mostly managed by the Trust staff members, but your input and assistance may be minimally required as directed by the Trip Leaders. Although staff will be responsible for the students, you will be expected to behave in a professional manner and act as an adult role model at all times. You will be required to have a Food Hygiene certificate and will also ideally hold a current First Aid qualification, although this is not essential.

The ideal candidate will either be an experienced chef or someone who is studying towards gaining a catering qualification. You will be provided with transport to and from the site, camping accommodation (individual tent & air bed), all food for the duration of the trip and when not required for food preparation, you will have free time to relax in your own private space or take part in any of the exciting activities.

If you have the drive to devise interesting meal plans that introduce well balanced meals with a French theme where possible, to groups of young people, and you are available for the full period from May to July 2020, we would love to hear from you.
