Honouring and celebrating the history and culture of the Scottish fishing industry, The Fish Shop Restaurant and Fishmonger in Ballater is conceived to provide a friendly and relaxed ambience to cater to the local community as well as visitors that frequent this historic town. The integration of the Fishmonger ensures the "catch to plate" concept, honest to food and process. Both the fishmonger offering and the restaurant menu is dependent upon the daily offerings landed from trusted sources.

Of the 40 covers, there is a choice of seating; on stools at the bar, around a clinker-built fishing boat table in the corner, or on banquettes in the main restaurant above which hangs a sculpture of a school of fish, woven in wicker by a renowned local artist.

The project is open to serve the community and returning annual visitors.

We are recruiting WAITING STAFF to join the team. Part of a small team, you will be the ultimate host and exceed the expectations of our guest experience in every aspect of their visit. You will create memorable experiences by consistently providing an exceptional guest experience through the delivery of our Standard Operating Procedures ensuring that every guest feels special and wants to return. You positively approach sales opportunities in order to maximise revenue by making informed recommendations based on in-depth knowledge of the menus and using upselling techniques at every appropriate opportunity.

Full-time, part-time and seasonal contracts are available. Shifts cover lunch service and/or dinner service. Let us know what works best for you when you apply!
