There is an ever-increasing demand for our highly sought-after internet-based service and bespoke property and inheritance tax solutions. We are on track to become the leading firm for property tax solutions in the UK within the next 3 years.

Our client portfolio covers a diverse range of business entities with a focus on property tax and we have achieved significant levels of year-on-year growth. We now wish to recruit two talented individual to join us as a trainee accountants as we progress forward with further expansion.

This is a great career opportunity to work within a forward thinking firm with ambitious plans for expansion. You will be working as part of a team dealing directly with clients. As well as an annual bonus you will also share in the annual profits after a qualifying period of time.

The position will ideally appeal to someone who understands the vital importance of client facing skills and an eye for detail. An AAT part qualified or graduate, or if you are someone mature seeking an opportunity to build a career. Demonstrate to us that you have the desire and aptitude to become a well-rounded professional, willing to learn the basics and contribute to the success of the firm and we will reward you with a career path and financial success. Your Excel and Microsoft Office skills need to be robust. Candidates must demonstrate determination, good communication skills and enthusiasm.

The Trainee Accountant will initially undertake a wide range of general accounting duties beginning with and including the following before progressing on to other areas:

  • Preparing tax returns
  • Liaising directly with clients
  • Producing schedules of income and expenses
  • Dealing with enquiries
  • Assist in accounts preparation for Limited companies, Sole Traders, Partnerships, Landlords and high net worth individuals.
  • VAT returns
  • Capital Gains Tax, Stamp Duty and Inheritance Tax planning
  • Bookkeeping duties
  • Ad-hoc duties including tax planning

Working as part of a team of both qualified and part qualified accountants this is a great role to work alongside other accountants who are experts in their chosen field and be part of an exciting high growth firm with real career prospects and rewards. Study support is provided on an individual needs’ basis and subject to negotiation as part of your career progression.
