Position Overview & Specifications
TEC Partners are working with an exciting biotechnology start-up that is focusing on creating a high-throughput cell sorting instrument. The company is part of a large science and technology group of companies, and their new platform offers multiplexed cell sorting with improved sort rates which will have a huge potential in a multitude of life science applications.
With the product set to launch next year, the company is currently looking for a Field Application Specialist to focus on the customer side in the UK, Europe, and US, as well as to get involved in the lab-based work to improve and contribute to the development, testing, and improvement of the instrument.
As a Field Application Specialist, you will spend a significant amount of time traveling and liaising with customers and representing the company and the product. The role will be of key importance to understand the customer requirements and to ensure the great performance of the cell sorting instrument on customers’ sites.
Requirements:
- Background in biological sciences, ideally to a PhD level
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact with customers
- Hands-on experience in cell biology field, ideally in immunology or cell therapy
- Knowledge and/or hands-on experience with various cell sorting/flow cytometry/FACS techniques and related protocols and standards
- Previous experience working in a field-based role would be advantageous but is not a must
The position would be suitable for someone currently in a similar field-based position, or someone in a relevant scientific field who would be interested to start their career as a Field Application Specialist.
