Position Overview & Specifications

At Tagvenue, events online marketplace, we are a team of energetic, self-driven and positive individuals. We’re building the world’s largest and most innovative venue-booking platform. We launched in mid-2015, and within a short period, we achieved a market leader position in the UK, Australia, Singapore, Canada and we’re expanding fast in the US. In 2020, we launched a new product - Tagvenue Virtual - a video platform that provides a variety of interactive games that can be played by remote teams. Currently, we’re hiring a Junior Manual Tester to join our Product & IT team, consisting of a QA Engineer, a Senior UX Designer, 2 Product Specialists & 5 Developers. You would collaborate closely with our Founders and Operations teams as well.

Our main office in Kraków, Poland is open to use on daily basis however this position can be 100% remote- accordingly to your needs & preferences!

ABOUT THE ROLE

Being a Tester at Tagvenue means being at the front line of product development and helping thousands of customers to have a flawless user experience. You will also work closely with the rest of the IT & Product teams, assuring the quality of various product development projects. In this role, your responsibilities would be focused on:

  • Testing new features and finding bugs across multiple devices and browsers, reporting bugs, and proposing solution ideas, using common web debugging and monitoring tools
  • Cooperating closely with developers in the development process and providing them with all information necessary to ensure the best quality of the platform
  • Going beyond simple requirements verification and thoroughly testing the product
  • Performing regression testing and regular quality audits
  • Collecting bugs and issues reported by customer-facing teams, keeping reporters up-to-date about the resolution progress, and suggesting workaround solutions before the issues are fixed
  • Proactively reaching out for information and being vocal about quality standards and good practices
  • Presenting newly released features to business teams
  • Being able to document features both for our internal teams and users of the platform would be an advantage

This role would be perfect for you if you think of moving to Product Management, UX Design or Software Development, as there are a lot of opportunities for growth while working on various aspects of Tagvenue products.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

  • At least 6 months of experience in testing in a commercial software environment
  • Great attention to detail combined with creative thinking - you think outside the box and can reveal obscure, uncommon, and mysterious testing scenarios
  • Ownership of your projects - you feel responsible for delivering high-quality results on time
  • Focus on quality - you demand a high-quality user experience when testing a product
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English (Polish language skills are appreciated)
  • Eagerness to learn about QA methodologies, product development, tools, etc.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a can-do attitude
  • Nice to have: you are familiar with the basics of UX design or Product Management
