Yard Operative

Who we are:

Sylvagen is an established company operating in the waste, recycling, and renewable fuel sectors. We are looking to add a hardworking and positive individual to join our processing yard in Tilbury, Essex.

Overview of Job:

Someone to work within a busy processing yard, helping to load and unload lorries, quality control, and maintain processing equipment.

What we’re looking for:

The role would be ideal for someone who is looking to develop themselves within a busy yard. You must have had at least 1 years’ yard experience, and due to the nature of the work, be physically fit with a hands-on approach and be prepared to muck in where required.

This role includes (but is not limited to):

Operating machinery like.

• Forklift
• 360 Excavator
• Loading Shovel
• Screeners
• Shredders

Yard duties like.

• Machinery maintenance
• Re-fuelling
• Shift Clean downs
• Housekeeping & tidiness
• Maintaining site
• Covering weighbridge
• Assisting in mechanics
• Quality control

The package:

Working hours: Typically, 7am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday & every other Saturday 7am to 12pm totalling 47.5hours per week. Some flexibility on start and finish times will be expected along with optional overtime.

Salary: Range £12-£14.00 per hour (depending on experience).
