Contract Support - Leicester (m/f/d)

Your Challenge

We have a new vacancy for a Contract Support to join the very busy team based in Leicester.

The role of the Contract Support is to support the Field Engineering Services/Operations Managers to ensure effective commercial administration and management of contracts.

Key Responsibilities

  • To create and update as required job budgets and forecasts within SAP or similar system in use at the time, using initial handover tender information and updates from Managers as they occur
  • To review and support the Managers overseeing of the project ledgers to maximise recoveries
  • To meet regularly with the Management team to review contract performance ensuring SAP data is up to date and accurate
  • To support the Managers to deliver projects to tendered costs and at least to tendered margin, reviewing variances of actual costs/revenue from the financial outlook and produce overview reports as required
  • To support the Managers by updating and maintaining outlooks for revenue, recovery, and margin forecasts
  • To schedule and maintain up to date records of all the projects within the region to enable the timely application and invoicing of all works
  • To provide support to ensure the proactive credit control of contracts ensuring certificates of payment are received from clients on time as per contract conditions, invoiced and paid on time and to identify opportunities for cash flow improvements and to communicate these internally
  • To provide support, as required, to the and Managers with data required for the procurement and account management of our supply chain (including enquiries, managing scope, price and terms & conditions, placing of orders, dealing with change control measures & certification of payments due to our supply chain)
  • To carry out the regional requirements, as required, to ensure application for payments to clients and SAP invoice generation is carried out for all contracts in accordance with company requirements and contractual obligations
  • To ensure all projects are continually reviewed to minimise WIP (work in progress)
  • To deputise for Senior Contract Support during absence.

Your Profile

In order to fulfil the role successfully the following are some of the key skills and experience required:

  • Minimum GCSE’s or equivalent including English & Maths (Grade 5 & above)
  • Demonstrable experience of project contractual terms and conditions
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to plan and prioritise to meet the business unit goals and priorities.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Good Knowledge of Excel
  • Ability to communicate at all levels of the business
  • Good planning and organisational skills
  • Team working
  • Willingness to travel as required
  • Right to live and work in the UK
  • Experience of SAP
