Business Development Manager
Our client is one of the leading water treatment companies in the UK, who have been offering industrial and commercial water treatment solutions for over 30 years.
Managing all sales within the BDM’s defined existing customer base. This involves developing sales plans with each customer, forecasting existing equipment lifecycles, developing additional sales opportunities on site including:
- After sales service
- Upgrades/refurbishments
- Renewals
- New products
- New services
Developing new business with new customers by targeted sales activity. this involves:
- Developing sales strategies for new business
- Assist with marketing and sales campaigns
- Assist with developing relationships with lead generation companies as required.
- Meet sales targets and adhere to agreed key performance indications (KPI’s) as outlined by your line manager
- Attend monthly sales meeting and present work completed in the previous month and plan for the coming month.
- Investigating and solving customer’s problems and complaints, which may be complex or long standing problems that have been passed by the office.
- Attend any relevant training courses
- Carry out site surveys and prepare/assist with quotations including:
- Obtaining pricing from approved suppliers
- Providing specifications to European company for intercompany pricing
- Liaising with approved sub-contractors
- Production of tender drawings
- Attend customer meetings
- Assist with service support where required
- Assist with Project management where required.
- Carry out interviews/recruitment where required.
- Carry out any other duties as required by your line manager.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: From £30,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
Supplemental pay types:
- Commission pay
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Glasgow: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- Business development in the water treatment industry: 3 years (required)
Willingness to travel:
- 75% (required)
