Weekend Saturday Person * Part Time Canine Carer * Dog Lovers Only Please!

PART TIME CANINE CARER - Full Training provided along with an induction period as we do not envisage you will have done anything quite like this before!

Suffolk Canine Creche is a unique facility offering Day Care for dogs (generally whilst people are at work). It is a luxury Unkennelled environment, (resembling a childrens nursery) where dogs play freely together. We have ball pits climbing frames, paddling pools, slides and wendy houses, plus lots of interactive games for the dogs to play.

Our staff have a natural infinity with dogs and are basically Dog Lovers!

We are seeking a Canine Carer to join our dedicated team of staff who contribute to our fantastic service offering.

Duties include

• Managing and supervision of the dogs ensuring that their safety and welfare is placed as the priority.
• Vigilance in supervising care, well-being and entertainment of the dogs.
• Tending to the dogs thoughtfully, gently and with care
• Feeding the dogs correctly (measured and on time)
• Careful and efficient monitoring of any changes or differences in dogs behaviour/temperament/condition
• Placing service levels at an inspirational level.
• General cleaning duties, hoovering, sweeping, mopping, polishing, washing up etc
• All other miscellaneous duties that may occur on a day to day basis
• Any other reasonable duties as per the needs of the business evolves.

The shift pattern is as follows: -

We are open seven days a week and this position is part time and offers 9 hours per week, working every Saturday and occasional Sundays where required.

Important Notes:Due to the hours and our location it is essential you have your own transport.

Reality Check!We pick up dog mess! We work long shifts, which are very tiring, running around after dogs is physically tiring, you need to be fit! We are inside and outside in all weathers!

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications

We appreciate that ideal candidates may not have obtained precise relevant experience due to the unique nature of our role, however our current members of staff come from many different backgrounds, including Retail, Care, Ex-Forces and a wide variety of customer focused positions.

We are very interested to receive applications from people who have studied Animal Care, welfare or Management but not yet secured a role within our industry.
