The Company

Sterling is a fast-growing family business based in Stokesley specialising in rigid Beavertail truck bodies. In just the last few years, Sterling has gone from being a small bespoke manufacturer to the largest provider of Beavertail truck bodies in the UK. Having built up a fantastic reputation of quality, both of product and service, Sterling acquired the design rights to a company called Hymix early in 2020. Hymix were the leading supplier of Concrete Mixer trucks in the UK and with many New Sterling Mixers now on the road, we anticipate there will be huge opportunities for growth over the next few years. This is where we need YOU, we are looking for skilled individuals to join us on our journey.

The Role

Essential Requirements:

• Must be able to work from detailed drawings to within a +-1mm tolerance.
• Must be skilled in MIG welding.
• Must have experience using a Plasma cutting torch.
• Must be able to fabricate objects using pre-cut parts. Work must be to correct angles/dimensions and true where required.
• Must have a good personal responsibility and awareness of safe working practices.
• Must have a good knowledge of basic hand and power tools related to trade to ensure correct equipment is used for each individual task.
• Must be a reliable timekeeper.

• Company provided lunch Tuesdays and Thursdays, vast selection of hot and cold options, worth approximately an additional £0.25 per hour.
• Starting rate of £16.00 per hour, rising to £16.50 per hour on successful completion of probationary period. Further progression possible based on performance.
• Generous weekly bonus scheme paying £30 in cash every week that targets are achieved, assuming targets are met 80% of the time this is worth an additional £0.61 per hour!
• 38 hour week. Monday to Thursday 7am to 4pm, Friday 7am to 11am.
• Extra 3 days discretionary holiday to cover Christmas break in addition to the 28 days statutory.
