We have one of the most modern fleets in the UK and so we need brilliant engineers to keep our buses in tip-top condition for our customers.

Those customers rely on our services to get them to work, to the high street, to hospitals, to days away and nights out – and as part of our engineering team you’ll be a key part in making sure our vehicles are in perfect condition to do just that

It’s a really important role within our depot but don’t worry, we’ll train you on everything you need to know, and you’ll be supported by a great team of Electricians, Technicians and Engineering Managers who all pull together to do a brilliant job.

“What does the programme involve?” we hear you ask…

The first three years of the four year programme are spent on the job learning in the depot with an allocated mentor.
You will also attend a specialist training college where you will work towards a Mechelec Qualification – so you will be equally skilled in both mechanical and electrical engineering!
The fourth year of the programme has been specially designed by Stagecoach to consolidate your technical skills by attending development courses.
After four years you will be fully skilled with a rewarding and exciting career ahead of you at Stagecoach!

We’ll support you every step of the way in your career. You will be given exposure to work which will develop your skills and experience to allow you to progress your career further.

Many of our Stagecoach Engineering Directors and Managers started off as apprentices, including Sam, our Group Engineering Director! So that could very well be you in the not too distant future!
