Kitchen Assistant VACANCY

24hr – 40hr, Mainly EVENINGS (15:00 – 23:00)

Can occasionally include 06:00 – 13:00 Sat and Sun

NOT SUITABLE FOR STUDENTS, need goodavailability for whole year including Xmas and New Year period.

We have an in-store kitchen that produces various hot and cold items for our busy daily deli section. The main part of a EVENING KITCHEN position is looking after our food to go 'daily deli' area. This involves basic baking of various goods; pastries, burgers, chicken wings, hot beef baguettes ect. You will also be responsible for producing over 20 sandwiches, 10 salads and bagging up freeze thaw items on every shift. There is also a lot of daily cleaning in the evening shift, the kitchen, 2 ovens, 2 coffee machines, orange machine, pastry unit, cake area, seating area and more. Although you are part of the smaller kitchen team and you will be on shift with others in the shop, you will be by yourself in the kitchen for long periods of time, preparing all the food that is needed. So you have to be happy working by yourself. We are looking for someone who can complete all jobs to a high standard and can be trusted to manage their own time well.

Out of student term time you probably wont be required in the kitchen for the whole 8hrs especially during times students are not around, so you will also do normal shop assistant duties as well, serving customers and stocking shelves.

YOU MUST BE ABLE TO MULTITASK IN A FAST PACED ENVIRONMENT, BE FLEXIBLE, HARD-WORKING AND RELIABLE.
