Salary: £11.45 per hour

Contract Type: Fixed term until 31st August 2023.

Location: Paignton, Devon

We are seeking Hourly Paid Exam Invigilators to join our friendly team and oversee the correct running and supervision of upcoming exams. These posts will be hourly paid and the hours will be dependent on the number of staff and exams.

Exams are a crucial part of a learner’s qualification, and our Invigilators play a vital role in giving our learners the best chance of fulfilling their potential, by providing a calm environment whilst ensuring regulations are adhered to.

Experience isn’t necessary as full training will be given. We are looking for excellent communicators who feel confident in explaining the relevant Awarding Bodies’ rules and read out the exam procedures to small or large groups of students and use standard IT packages. The role also includes assisting with the preparation of examination rooms, taking attendance registers, checking students are in their correct seats and have valid identification with them and ensuring examination materials are returned to the examinations office immediately after the exam has finished.

The successful candidates will need to hold level 2 qualifications or equivalent, including English/Maths, and have the ability to use standard IT packages. You will also need the ability to pay attention to detail, remain calm under pressure, and work effectively alone and as part of a team is essential and excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
