Job Title
Social Media Manager

Overall Objectives & Overview:

  • Developing social media strategies with the aim of increasing brand awareness and customer engagement
  • Analysing the long-term needs of the company’s social media strategy and offering monthly reports to the management and executive teams, outlining any necessary changes to the overall digital marketing plan
  • Creating captivating content for an organisation’s social media sites, which may include writing blogs, articles, posts and multimedia content
  • Content creation may be necessary
  • Working closely with internal and external parties to create/deliver needed content.
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest social media trends and digital technologies
  • Developing monthly reports on emerging social media trends that will be submitted to the management and executive teams
  • Ensuring content is scheduled daily across all platforms driving sales and brand awareness as much as possible (Including Instagram Stories)
  • Developing and overseeing competitions and campaigns to draw attention to a brand
  • Setting measurable goals for campaigns, measuring and showing the Return on Investment (ROI)
  • Monitoring and responding to customer feedback, comments and social media posts
  • Liaising with other departments and creatives to create a holistic and effective online marketing strategy
  • Ensuring all platforms are utilised; Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIN, Youtube, Snapchat, Google My Business etc.
  • Communicating all upcoming key business announcements and locations of selling (Events)
  • Attending Events on behalf of the business and updating Social Media accordingly.
  • Flexibility to work weekends to enhance the role (events)
  • Covering all LIVE channels (Facebook Live, Instagram Live, TikTok Shop etc) to boost sales and brand awareness and updating on new project launches
  • Planning content with external partners & influencers.
  • Community Management across the platforms.
  • Working closely with other departments to assist each other on ensuring branding and consistency is maintained across all areas.
  • Update weekly social media tracker report (Followers, etc)
  • Brief weekly report keeping directors up to date with progress.
  • Expected to attend and organise sales/marketing events which may occur on weekends.
  • Social media content to be posted in line with seasonal trends and on weekends/out of business hours if necessary.

Essential Skills

Must hold a full current driving license and be prepared to spend time away off site

Strong customer focus with enhanced analytical skills

Interpersonal and telephone skills

Ability to work as an individual or as part of a team

Ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally

Ability to make quick decisions, work in a fast-paced environment with the agility to respond to a rapidly changing environment is absolutely key

Strong prioritisation and organisational skills

Good knowledge of Food safety legislation

Qualifications/Experience Requirements

Educational A Level or equivalent

Demonstrate working knowledge of Social Media Management and involvement with wider marketing teams.

Excellent communication skills.

Excellent computer skills: Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word), E-Mail .

Knowledge of Advanced Planning Systems, preferably Xero, would be an advantage

Ambitious and eager to develop

Good attention to detail.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
