E-Commerce Manager - Focus on webshop development

We are a small family business looking to expand our online presence. A traditional family business at heart with an old fashioned approach. Currently only methods of sale are over the phone, email and eBay. Looking for someone to help transform the business and develop a very ergonomic webshop. We currently use Odoo which is a Python based system. Its not important that they have experience Odoo but we need someone with previous experience of linking eBay to a database using their developer portal/ API and integration of shipping functions using Fedex API;s. Its important they are commercially focused and specialise in an ecommerce field.

Attention to detail is important, fast learner needed. Its important that they work in-house for the start of the role. After some time (Months) we can discuss a WFH basis.

We would consider a student or a recent graduate but they would need to have an understanding of eBay. We have an established eBay shop and we are looking to integrate it to our database in the best way possible to avoid disturbing previous trading history or our established and recognised brand on there.

Required tasks:

Identify plugins and connectors that would be useful to make webshop run at an optimal level

Integrate Ebay API to database

Integrate Fedex API for all shipping functions UK and internationally

Develop shop categorisation/ easy identification features

Customisation to shop front front end

Creation of custom back end features for inventory management/ stock management

Testing of website

Getting website live

In the future

Looking at creating other bespoke websites for specialist product

Website translation for other countries

Carry out backups

Upload price files from suppliers

Help find ways for easy importation of suppliers stock/ data

Find ways to export data and link to Xero accounting software

Job Types: Part-time, Internship
Contract length: 12 months
Part-time hours: 16 per week

Salary: £24,960.00-£41,600.00 per year
