Sigma is a family-owned and family-run business, which has been serving Independent Pharmacies, Dispensing Doctors, and Hospitals for over 40 years. Being one of the largest independent pharmacy wholesalers in the UK meeting the independent needs of customers is at our heart.

We are currently seeking Security Personnel, you will undertake the surveillance of our premises and the protection of our employees and visitors. In addition, you will be responsible for detecting any suspicious happenings and preventing vandalism, thefts or any other criminal behaviour. You will need a strong commitment to security rules and knowledge of all hazards and threats to safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect and patrol premises regularly
• Monitor property entrances
• Carry out random security checks
• Authorize entrance of people and vehicles
• Report any suspicious behaviours and happenings
• Secure all exits, doors and windows
• Monitor surveillance cameras
• Respond to alarms and react in a timely manner
• Provide assistance to people in need
• Submit reports of daily surveillance activity
• Submit reports of every suspicious action
• Ensure that health and safety meets the required standards

Key Skills

• Proven experience as security officer or similar position
• Experience in reporting and emergency response planning
• Excellent knowledge of security protocols and procedures
• Security Industry Authority (SIA) Licence
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Committed and reliable
• Calm under pressure

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £22,000.00 per year
