Around since 1923, SAMH is Scotland’s national mental health charity. We have represented the voice of people most affected by mental health problems in Scotland for almost 100 years. Today, in over 60 communities we work with adults and young people providing mental health social care support, services in primary care, schools and further education, among others.

These services together with our national programme work in See Me, respectme, suicide prevention and active living; inform our policy and campaign work to influence positive social change. Location: Glasgow (SAMH Brunswick House Office)

Hours: 37.5 per week

Salary: £35,747.00 to £40,022.00 (Salary Points 36 – 40)

Contract: Permanent

About the Role

This new Governance and Complaints Officer will support Legal Counsel in the execution and management of legal, regulatory, performance and governance matters to ensure that the organisation is compliant with relevant legislation and that best practice is observed. This post holder will also manage the complaints process across SAMH and work with teams across SAMH in a wide variety of other areas, for example - management of organisational policies; data protection requests; governance reporting; insurance; and governance and compliance related projects.

In this post, we’re looking for someone with prior experience relevant to the role. To succeed in the role you will have excellent organisational skills, be able to interpret and analyse information, and have an approachable style to building good working relationships.
