field service engineer

If you are an experienced biotech/medical devices service engineer or a mechanical/ electrical engineer looking for the next step up, then this could be your new role. We are recruiting for a Field Service Engineer to help us install, commission, maintain and repair our market leading specialist equipment from our extensive bioprocess portfolio: purification, filtration and fluid management and fermentation technologies. We are looking for a competent engineer, with a strong customer care focus.

This is a home-based role covering the United Kingdom. The Ideal location would be in the UK within 1 hour of either Oxford or Manchester.

What you will accomplish together with us

• Travelling to customer sites to install equipment.

• Validating and commission of equipment in a GMP environment.

• Repairing, maintaining, and calibrating a wide range of Sartorius equipment.

• Collaborating with technical, logistics, engineering, and support teams.

• Helping customers and getting feedback from them.

• Be prepared to lift equipment.

What will convince us

• A degree or equivalent in mechanical | electrical | mechatronics | bioengineering or equivalent.

• Excellent mechanical/ electrical and IT skills.

• Previous field-based experience in a similar role; laboratory, medical equipment or similar experience would be desirable.

• Strong customer focus with great communication skills.

• Organisational skills, with ability to adapt to a dynamic schedule.

• Willingness to travel nationally and internationally.
