Position Overview & Specifications

Due to expansion, we currently seeking an experienced Data Cabling / WiFi / Network Installation Field Engineer in the London and Southeast area.

As a dynamic company the position also provides exposure to further disciplines which include CCTV, Alarms, Audio Visual as well as IT Networking. We will provide the necessary support and training to help develop your current skill sets further.

Key Skills:

Data Cabling / Installation of Coms Cabinets / Positioning and installation of WIFI Access Points / Data Points testing & repair of Cat 5e and Cat 6, & Fibre if required.

Experience in finding routes to run additional cabling being mindful of the site aesthetics, keeping exposed cable to a minimum essential.

Salary Starting from £32,000 – £38,000 depending on experience plus company van.

Location: London and Southeast predominantly.

As Field Engineer you must be happy to travel daily and at times stay away from home. The work is based in customer sites predominantly within Hospitality sector and involves driving to various site locations to perform required duties. The role also means throughout the year there are refurbishments and full cable installation will be required for, EPOS, Network, CCTV and Audio Visual.

The hours are Monday to Friday at site from 08:00 – 16:00 Monday to Friday with overtime where necessary.

Company Van & Fuel Cars are provided.

Duties include the following:

Installation of both data and coax cabling during site refurbishments.

The installation of additional cables where required in an open and trading site.

Installation of full cabling networks include coms cabinet.

To adhere to a professional approach at all times with both clients and colleagues

Good communication with clients and colleagues .

Adhere to all current health and safety procedures whilst performing your required duties.

Support IT support colleagues based at Head office where necessary and assist in all trouble shooting.

Carrying out site surveys

Overnight stay aways when required.

Complete all internal process on job completion.

The successful candidate:

Be a self- Motivated with good communication skills, be flexible and have a positive attitude.

Have a minimum of 3 years' experience of working in similar environments.

Experience and knowledge of data installations (specifically Cat 5e and Cat 6, Fibre)

Have experience of cable fault finding and repair on all provided equipment.

Have basic computer skills.

The ability on occasions to work under tight timelines and conduct themselves professionally at all times.
