Position Overview & Specifications
We are looking to recruit an Environmental Assistant to work either full time, part time. This role will be based in Cardiff and Bristol and will be a 9-12 month placement on a flexible working basis, with the potential to work from home.
This is an opportunity for an undergraduate/post graduate looking to join the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), Planning and Design (EPD) team in Cardiff and Bristol. Their teams undertake extensive work in Wales and would like to involve placement students from Welsh universities in upcoming projects. Working alongside an experienced team you will predominately be working on Welsh renewable generation projects. This work is often in collaboration with other RSK Group technical teams such as archaeology, landscape and visual, ecology, noise, and air quality.
You must be currently studying in a Welsh University or have recently gradated from a Welsh University and be willing to work in Wales.
Role Responsibilities:
- Assisting and supporting with tender and project work
- Assisting with the coordination of technical teams
- Writing reports for clients
- Desk-based research; and
- Analysis and interpretation of tender and project data
Person Specification:
- Studying Environmental Science or Geography at a Welsh university
- A passion and interest in the environment and sustainability
- A general appreciation of consultancy and, in particular, EIA
- An enthusiastic approach, willingness to listen/learn, can-do attitude and openness to opportunity
- Clear, concise and confident communication
- Precise analytical skills
- Full driving licence but access to a company vehicle will be provided for site visits etc
