There’s plenty going on beyond the City too, with stunning countryside to explore including the beautiful Cotswolds. Surrounded by vast green spaces the RUH is only a walk or bus journey away from the main hustle and bustle of the City.

Come and join our Midwifery team working in our Community Maternity Units (Paulton, Trowbridge, Chippenham and Frome). This is an exciting time for Midwifery services, the focus has never be greater than it is now. Your health and wellbeing is very important to us, we offer flexible working, support from PMAs, our midwifery retention team and we can offer you a competitive relocation package.

Working in a small team, provide holistic continuity of midwifery care to women and babies in the antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal periods.
Be accountable for his/her own practice in compliance with statutory requirements.
Provide midwifery care both in hospital, birth centre and community settings managing an individual caseload to ensure the provision of continuity of carer.
Be responsible for maintaining and developing clinical skills and professional knowledge Participate in an “on call” system to ensure 24 hour cover of midwifery and homebirth services
Be active in the training and professional development of students and junior staff, and to provide clinical advice where necessary

To be aware of the public health strategy and work in partnership with other providers of health and social care to meet local community needs.
