Junior Fashion Designer

Job Role Responsibilities:

• Develop products from concept to completion which represent the Roco Clothing brand handwriting

• Research, source & develop seasonal collections collaboratively with the buying team - including researching new trends & competitors, in order to help create commercial and well-executed ranges for our multi product collections

• Attend and contribute at design direction & product development meetings, bringing newness and creative ideas to the team

• Create thorough and accurate Tech Packs with the use of 'to scale' CAD designs or sketching & technical drawings, which can be easily amended

• Attend fit sessions giving input into design details & feeding back to suppliers with comments

• Building relations with suppliers and advising factories on direction, silhouette, construction, key details, fabrics, trimmings and artworks

• Print design or graphic design may be required

Essential Skills/Experience:

• At least 2 year’s fashion design experience within the industry

• A degree or equivalent in Fashion design or Textiles

• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Software (Illustrator)

• Strong commercial awareness and a detailed understanding of garment construction, fabrics, fit and trends

• Able to work both independently and as part of a team

• Attention to detail

• Willingness and flexibility to adapt ways of working to meet brand requirements and deadlines

• Highly organised with good time management skills

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £21,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
