Pensions Lawyer Birmingham A unique opportunity has arisen for a Pensions Lawyer to join a Legal 500 Tier 1 ranked international law firm based in Birmingham. This role is rewarded with a competitive salary, private medical insurance, and agile working. It presents an excellent opportunity for a Pensions Lawyer to provide sharp and acute pension consultancy support to their national team.

About the role

This role will give the successful Pensions Lawyer the opportunity to work on a varied and interesting workload of pension work, including:

Client liaison i.e. being the point of contact for routine queries, updating clients on general developments;
Preparation and monitoring of project plans
Assisting the team with the billing process, requesting pre-bills, drafting narratives and covering letters and getting sign off
Maintaining soft copy filing system for Trustee Board papers and records of meetings and Trustee documents
Assisting with new business campaigns

About you

The ideal Pensions Lawyer will be working towards their APMI qualification. You will also have:

A sound understanding of pension matters;
Strong interpersonal skills necessary to develop strong relationships with clients and market contacts and across the wider firm;
Be I.T literate with a good knowledge and high degree of competency in the use of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and document management;
Have excellent organisational skills with acute attention to detail.
