Machine Operative- Grinder/Polisher required for a Rubber Roller Manufacturing Company based in Hazel Grove, Stockport.

Skills required

· Experience of using heavy based machinery.

· Competency to measure & record sizes.

· Good communication skills.

· Experience of an Engineering/manufacturing environment.

The Candidate

We are looking to recruit an experienced Machine Operator to work in our finishing department. The role involves grinding & polishing rubber covered rollers using lathes and grinding machines up to 6 Meters in length and general engineering duties. Experience of using heavy based machinery & working in a Production environment is essential, however further training is available. The ideal candidate will be working in a small intricate team and be responsible for self-inspection of work.

Working hours & Pay

Full time, permanent position. Starting wage exceeds National Minimum Wage.

38 hours p/wk. - Overtime maybe required as necessary.

7.30am to 4.15pm Monday to Thursday

7.30am to 12.30pm Fridays.

21 days’ holiday per year plus all bank holidays. Including a workplace pension scheme & death in service policy.
