Design Engineer

Ritelite (Systems) Limited is a market leading designer and manufacturer of:

• Portable and Mobile LED Lighting Systems for Industrial and Professional applications.
• A range of specialist battery power supplies
• Telecoms cable installation equipment

We are looking for a full-time Design Engineer to work within our Technical Development department.

The role will cover aspects of design, testing, development, manufacture, and production.

Previous projects have involved Mechanical/Electrical/Pneumatic design solutions

The role is hands on with a significant practical element to prove out design concepts on their journey from concept to production.

Essential qualification / skills / attributes

• Pragmatic Problem Solving
• Inovative Design ideas
• SolidWorks CAD skills and experience
• HND, engineering degree qualified or relevant manufacturing background
• Strong engineering problem solving skills and be able to call upon diverse prior experience

Specific responsibilities will include:

• Providing CAD drawings for component parts
• Liaising with contractors for parts development
• Management and control of company drawings and their version control
• Assist with post-sale customer product support
• Contribute to interdepartmental continuous improvement tasks

Experience and Training

Candidates will have excellent SolidWorks skills with HND, degree or relevant manufacturing background ideally with a minimum of 3 years practical experience.

This position requires a dynamic individual who sees problems as challenges and would enjoy learning new skills to to solve new problems.

They will be passionate, enthusiastic, confident and personable with the ability to deliver to a high standard under critical time constraints.

• Fabrication knowledge (Metal / Joinery)
• Understanding of electronic and electrical systems
• An evidenced flare for innovative thinking and engineering problem solving

Remuneration
Successful candidates will receive a highly competitive starting salary with opportunity for professional development and a range of benefits.

Basic salary for a junior role starting at £25,000, to £40,000 for more experienced designer.
