Rite Directions is a small company that offers support and nurture to vulnerable children with complex needs. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced support workers or someone considering a career change to join our children's home in the Peak District.

You must share the same vision as the home, working in a consistent manner to ensure children receive a high standard of individual care to achieve the best possible outcomes. We provide a tailored therapeutic package to support our children and their development. We are looking for full time support worker for our children's home in the Peak District. Are you looking for a change of scenery or a new challenge, working in a really positive environment, for flexible employer?

We have an established team and are looking to compliment this with workers who genuinely share our passion and dedication to care for vulnerable children and young people who have suffered neglect or abuse.

Starting in a full time capacity you will receive a great induction, training and opportunities to progress. You will be working in a well-run home, in an amazing setting for an organisation that values its staff and works hard to support them.

The Role

Actively safeguard and promote the welfare of the children and young people in our care.

Working in a team that offers a consistent high level of service, that is in line with our philosophy of care and underpinned by a child-centred therapeutic approach.

To support the homes management team to ensure that a safe, nurturing and therapeutic environment is evidenced, delivered and developed in accordance with the organisations’ core values.

The Requirements

· Complete 48 hour shifts with sleep-in duties, two on four off pattern

· Understanding of working to policy/procedure and following instruction

· Able to deal with confrontation and some challenging behaviour

· Good communication and relationship building skills

· Full driving licence is required due to the location of the home
