Position Overview & Specifications

Job Description

A vacancy has arisen within the Facilities team for a Plumber. The successful candidate will be based at the New Mills site but will be required to support our various sites located in Gloucestershire as required. The position requires a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual who has the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Duties:

Provide a hands on approach on a daily basis
Reactive response to all plumbing breakdowns
Carry out new installation work or planned scheduled maintenance
Good communication skills with our customers
Processing of job requests using a CMMS
Liaison with the management team to ensure quality standards are achieved

Key requirements:

Extensive practical expertise in general plumbing, with some certification.
General experience in other building trades.
A good understanding of Health and Safety.
A good level of computer literacy.
Full driving license
Good problem solving skills

Desirable requirements:

Trained in the use of plant and machinery, forklift trucks or access equipment.
Knowledge of Legionella risks and controls

Person specification:

The successful applicant will require the following characteristics;

Excellent attention to detail
Safe working practices and an excellent understanding of Health and Safety
Self motivated and be able to work well on their own or as part of a team
Demonstrate good initiative and implement continuous improvement
Self motivated and flexible.
