Position Overview & Specifications

What we are looking for

You will be a creative and efficient designer who can consistently deliver good quality designs. You will be able to conceptualise content campaigns as well as execute/deliver them in whatever format is required. Your role will require you to be able to use PowerPoint, Photoshop, Illustrator and Premier Pro. If you have experience in After Effects and InDesign this would be a bonus – but not completely necessary.

You will bring experience in developing assets from concept and pitch to print ready deliverables. You’ll help our clients and develop their ideas, working in a team to bring them to life through digital media and print.

The chosen candidate will be happy being part of an increasing portfolio of events, while ensuring that that each project is getting the attention it needs. We have an amazing, friendly, hard-working culture at Remote and personality and passion is everything!

Key Responsibilities

Day to day, you can expect huge amounts of variety – producing graphics and content of all kinds!

  • Design graphical assets of all types (for example, event identities, interactive presentations, illustration, animation, video content, website etc)
  • Edit event recordings and content for distribution
  • Edit and enhance client PowerPoint presentations
  • Plan and execute content campaigns across our social media platforms
  • Implement the Remote Solutions brand across all company content and keep brand guidelines updated
  • Support team members with their design needs
  • Work collaboratively with the production team to design client experiences
  • Discuss objectives and requirements of our clients’ events and use your design skills to visualise these ideas
  • Think creatively to produce new ideas and concepts and develop interactive design
  • Estimate the time required to complete a job to effectively manage expectations and resource
  • Work with a range of media and keep up to date with emerging technologies
  • Proofread to produce accurate and high-quality work
  • Demonstrate illustrative skills with rough sketches and work on layouts
  • Execute a broad range of creative projects across in person and virtual events
  • Coordinate with internal team members working on the same account to ensure consistent service
  • Attend client calls to discuss current and new projects, provide updates and debriefs
  • Participate in debriefs to discuss learnings and future constructive improvements
  • Be responsible for keeping client CRM and internal databases up to date

Carry out any other reasonable duties in line with the post which may be required.

Ideal candidate

To be considered for this Graphic and Content Designer role, you will be currently working as designer from within another production agency or have 3+ years’ experience working as a freelance graphic / content designer across different sectors.

Must have’s

You will have already developed the normal, great communication skills and be able to prioritise tasks, so we won’t list this out. However, some of the key areas we need you to be thoroughly competent in:

  • 3+ years of relevant design experience
  • A razor-sharp eye for detail
  • Ability to keep Remote’s design standards across all assets
  • Passion and enthusiasm for design, with a creative flair for thinking outside of the box
  • Excellent communication skills to interpret and negotiate client briefs
  • A flexible approach when working in a team
  • Application experience: PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite and Office 365
  • Good presentation skills and the confidence to explain and sell ideas to colleagues
  • Time management skills and the ability to cope with several projects at once
  • Be open to feedback and willing to make changes to your designs
  • Stand out portfolio to wow our team!

Extra awesome

  • Previous hands-on experience with video production and animation
  • A strong knowledge of medical/pharmaceutical conference content would also be advantageous
