Position Overview & Specifications
Based at Southfield Industrial Estate in Glenrothes, Fife the Tape & Reel Production Operator role is very much hands-on and involves the taping and reeling of customer product to the specification of our customers and will involve working multiple machines once training is complete. There is manual handling involved in this role.
Candidates should have previous experience in a fast paced production environment, have an eye for fine detail, have good dexterity and be able to work unsupervised. The job involves:
- Working to the daily production plan ensuring all customer timescales are met.
- Follow intricate customer paperwork/job sheets to ensure correct procedure is being carried out for each specific job.
- Taping and Reeling of customers’ products from tubes, trays, wafers or hand placed.
- Operation of manual and automatic tape and reel machines, die sorters, peel strength tester, cropping machines, V-Tek inspection, vacuum machine, bar code machine and any other relevant equipment in accordance with process specifications.
- Carry out the daily machine/workbench maintenance where required.
- Accurately record information on all relevant paperwork.
- Use of our bespoke computer systems to process product.
- Ensure your place of work is tidy at all times.
- Highlight any problem areas to the supervisor/chargehand and advise any ideas on improvement to processes/procedures.
- Training within other production departments during quieter times to allow multi-skilling.
Additional Details: -
- Swingshift hours - Monday to Thursday 5pm - 10pm.
- 20 hours per week.
- £9.50per hour - £9,880 per annum.
- A comprehensive training plan will be included as part of this position which will be provided by our experienced Production Department staff.
- Pension provided by AEGON above statutory minimum offered.
