Reporting to the Management Accountant the Assistant Accountant Role is to support the Monthly Close and to assist in the production of the Monthly Management Accounts.
Responsibilities of the Assistant Accountant include:
General Responsibilities:
· Preparation of TBs for assigned entities,
· Preparation of weekly/monthly bank reconciliations,
· Analysing the financials and posting month-end journals,
· Review issues and overspends
· Manage accruals, prepayments and fixed assets register,
· General accounts support and adhoc requests.
Revenue and Receivables:
· Review accuracy and completeness of sales invoices
· Regular reconciliation of invoices between systems
· Review cash book and receipts,
· Prepare the weekly Flash Reporting.
Purchasing to Payables:
· Review invoice postings to ensure they have been coded appropriately,
· Review allocation of payments and cash book updates,
· Prepare bi-monthly and adhoc payment runs,
· Review supplier statement reconciliations,
· Corporate Card reconciliations and journal posting.
Payroll:
· Payroll administration, collation, verification and submission of payroll information,
· Investigate and resolve queries or information requests,
· Process Payroll and relevant journals.
The successful Assistant Accountant will be a dynamic studier with a willingness and determination to progress their career and in return you will receive a salary of between £28k-£34k + study package + excellent other benefits.

- accounting: 2 years (required)
- Accounts payable: 2 years (required)
