Position Overview & Specifications

Are you a skilled and fast Video Editor who would love to work in a small but growing virtually-based eco-conscious video editing agency? We work with large and small brands to create video content from 6 seconds to 60 minutes for all kinds of purposes from social to internal comms.

Does this sound like you:

  • Enjoy working at home and within a team?
  • Want to feel part of something bigger?
  • Love a variety of creative responsibilities?
  • Adapt well when priorities change at short notice?
  • Do you want to make a difference, contributing to a sustainable and circular economy?
  • Are you someone who feels satisfaction through happy clients?

What’s Important to us:

  • 1+ years experience in editing social media content for brands as a freelancer or part of a production agency.
  • You must have your own efficient and fast home editing setup with desktop not laptop.
  • Fluent English language speaker & UK based
  • Highly proficient with Adobe Creative suite (Premier Pro, After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, Audition)
  • Colour grading, sound design, motion graphics design.
  • Editing original content to create highly engaging social media and short form videos
  • Able to sourcing music and assets for projects.
  • Good communication
  • Diligence in your work and a killer creative taste.
  • Independence to work on your own, take initiative and innovate processes.
  • Excellent file and project organisation (adobe, dropbox, g-drive)
  • Ability to deliver consistent high-quality work in a fast-paced environment, with high attention to detail.

How we work:
You will be working remotely but in constant contact with the team via slack chat and zoom calls.

You will need to be able to switch between edits as priorities change, pick up other editors' jobs and also work in a way that others can step into your projects if needed. We do this by working collaboratively inside group dropbox folders at all times, and by keeping very tidy and organised projects and streamlining processes and systems. Projects must never be only held locally, this means your personal editing set up needs to accommodate this capacity in your machine and your internet connectivity.

Our work can often be extremely reactive, requiring immediate action, returning assets within an hour sometimes, or by the end of the morning or day, meaning longer deadline projects need to quickly be juggled. Longer duration projects are not usually taking more than a couple of weeks including feedback.

Our Values:
We have three key values in our company; Caring for yourself, others and the planet. We foster loyalty, kindness and support to those who work in our company. We want to help you be the best you can and nurture the areas of work that you enjoy the most. We value the importance of keeping a balanced work life and encourage good mental health practices.

We are excited to be developing our company to being as ethical and sustainable as possible and are in the process of registering to be a b-corp. Developing how we manifest our values is something we are in the early stages of, and we look forward to your input.

We are really looking forward to welcoming you to the team!
